Chance to pit your wits in the third Mega Quiz

PANTO REVIEW – There was a standing ovation when the curtain came down at the end of Metheringham Amateur Dramatic’s recent panto season.

They played to full houses each show, with children and adults alike getting into the spirit by booing and hissing and shouting “He’s behind you” in all the right places.

The love interest saw Prince Edward of Entertania, played by Will Pembery, and Belinda Merry (Jessica Hocking), live happily ever after in good panto tradition. There was plenty of laughter around the hall at the antics of Grandma (Dot Howes) and at the strip tease routine of Hustle and Bustle, played by Ros Treadwell and Paul Barker. And Bobby Shaftoe (Gary Wright) was also a crowd pleaser.

The boos and hisses rang out whenever Sir Jasper De Vyle entered and Lupus Rex, king of the wolves (Graeme Penbery) provided the scares.

The panto was directed by Fran and Darren Hawbrook.
