The Ruskington Lions Junior Football Club Under 11s team recently held their annual charity football match in memory of life-long club supporter Hughie Winters, raising money for cancer charities.

Mr Winters played for the Lions for 23 years and his two sons, Stephen and Nigel, also played for the the team at senior and junior level. He died of cancer in 1995 and, since then, each year the club has played a charity match in his name. The Under 11s played Hykeham Tigers in the memorial match and won the game 4-3.
