Charity needs new social venue

MUSIC NIGHT A SUCCESS - A country and western evening organised by Metheringham Animal Welfare Supporter’s Group (MAWS), with entertainment provided by singer Warren Dewitt, raised £163 for MAWS funds.

The next MAWS event will be a Christmas Market at Metheringham Village Hall on Saturday, November 10, from 10am to 4pm, when there will be a variety of stalls selling a range of Christmas gifts.

MAWS are also looking for a new venue in the Metheringham area to host their social events and fundraising evenings.

VARIETY SHOW - Metheringham Amateur Dramatics are performing a Jubilee variety show on October 12 and 13 at the village hall, with each performance starting at 7.30pm.

WI NEWS - The next meeting of Metheringham WI is to be held on October 17. The guest speaker will be Caroline Rossin, who will give a talk on the Rainbow Hospice.

The evening starts at 7.15pm and guests are welcome at a cost of £2.50.

Bookings are now being taken for the WI’s table top sale at Metheringham Village Hall on Saturday, November 17, from 10am to 2pm. Tables are £6.
