THREE lucky shoppers and a Sleaford coffee shop are celebrating some egg-stra good news, after coming out tops in Sleaford BID’s Easter contests.

The Business Improvement District teamed-up with the Sleaford Standard to run an Easter Egg Hunt for shoppers and a Best Dressed Window contest for traders.

Shoppers taking part in the Easter egg hunt tracked down letters of the alphabet displayed on cardboard eggs in 10 Sleaford shops to discover a hidden word (Chocolates).

First prize of a £50 voucher to spend in participating businesses was won by Eleanor Horrocks of Quarrington. The £30 second prize voucher went to Christine Storr and Mrs P D Turner won the third prize voucher of £20, both are from Sleaford.

Sleaford BID manager Emma Batty thanked businesses for taking part and hoped the competitions attracted extra shoppers too.

In the second competition, shoppers were invited to take part in a text vote through the Standard to choose the the business which had the best dressed Easter shop window.

The winner was Blanchards Coffee Shop in Boston Road, where the staff knitted an Easter display. Their prize is a half-page advertisement feature in the Sleaford Standard.
