OPEN GARDENS - A member of Leasingham St Andrew’s Parochial Church Council is hoping to form a group of volunteers with the aim of organising an open gardens event in Leasingham next summer.

It is hoped to support the event with additional garden activities. If anyone would like to offer their assistance in any way, call Alison Reid on 01529 306459. She is hoping to hold the group’s first meeting during the first week of September.

CREAM TEA - A cream tea event held at 64 Bishops Road, Leasingham raised £630 in support of the British Heart Foundation.

RIDE AND STRIDE - The Lincolnshire Churches Trust Bicycle Ride and Stride Event will take place this year on Saturday, September 8 between 10am and 6pm.

This event is held on behalf of the Local Churches Trust Fund, which helps provide grants to churches and chapels that require repairs to their buildings.

Participants plan their own routes for their cycle ride or walks, calling in at churches en route. Half of the funds raised go to the church of your choice and the other half to the Churches Trust Fund.

If anyone wishes to take part on behalf of St Andrew’s Church, Leasingham or wishes to sponsor a cyclist or make a donation, contact Zena Anderson on 01529 302630 for more information.
