Daisy Dares You to rock out the library

Tuesday 5pm - AN up and coming young rock musician is coming to Mablethorpe to break tradition by performing live and loud at the local library.

Top teen sensation Daisy Dares You is currently making her daring debut on the British music scene and is now set to visit the local library on Saturday March 20 to play a gig amongst the books.

Kathryn Gowling, Site Coordinator at Mablethorpe Library said: "We are looking forward to having Daisy play at the library. This is a fantastic way to shatter the library stereotype and get positive messages out about the modern library service."

At only 16 years-old, Daisy from Stanstead refuses to be pigeonholed and describes her music as a funky blend of pop, punk and electro.

Her debut single Number One Enemy featuring Chipmunk is available to download from 28 February, the video shot straight to number one on the iTunes chart only a day after its release in January.

The concert will be a first for Lincolnshire and the library will transform into a unique venue. People of all ages can browse the books, chat with friends and dance down the aisles.

Don't miss your chance to see this bright new star featured as part of the BBC Sound of 2010.

Daisy Dares You is appearing as part of the first Get it Loud in Libraries UK tour. Get it Loud in Libraries was created by Stewart Parsons of Lancashire Libraries, and developed by the MLA nationally. The award winning project rethinks the way that libraries are used to educate and entertain.

Tickets are on sale now priced 5 and can be purchased from Mablethorpe Library and www.seetickets.com.

Please contact 01522 782010 to reserve a ticket. Doors open at 7.30pm and the concert will go on until around 10pm. There are no age restrictions.
