Elderly urged to make use of advice morning

HECKINGTON will be hosting a health and wellbeing event aimed at older residents that may need care and support.

There will be 22 stands at the free coffee morning in Heckington Village Hall, on the High Street, on Tuesday, September 18 representing numerous organisations offering information and advice.

The event will run from 10am to 12noon where organisations will give information about benefits, pensions, local transport, home improvement or adaptation for people with a disability or who have difficulty in walking, carers support, surveying your home to help prevent falls, carers support and home improvement/adaptation. There will be a food tasting for the meals on wheels service, Vitality exercise classes for older people, support for people with sensory impairment, help for community groups and community safety advice.
