Fete promises lots of fun for all

VILLAGE FETE - Leasingham Fete will take place at the village hall on Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm.

It will take the format of an old fashioned fete, with plenty of games, entertainment and local crafts. Many village organisations will be having stalls at the event, including the gardening club, who will be running a plant stall, donations for this can be left with Ian Cox, telephone 01529 413969.

The church will be running a tombola and a lucky dip stall, while St Barnabas Hospice will be selling tea-time related items on their stall.

Entertainment will be in the show arena, which is where the presentation of the Villager of the Year and Young Villager of the Year Awards will be made at 2.15pm.

CHURCH SERVICE - There will be no church service at St Andrew’s church, Leasingham or in the Benefice on Sunday due to the Service of Ordination taking place at Lincoln Cathedral, when Georgina Machell will be ordained as curate.

MOBILE LIBRARY - The next visit of the mobile library service to Leasingham will be on Friday, from 10.45am to 11.45am, at the village hall car park.

BINGO NIGHT - Leasingham Playing Fields Development Committee will be holding a bingo evening in the village hall on Sunday, starting at 7pm.

There will be a cash prize flyer and refreshments will be available. All proceeds will go to the playing field committee.

ART GROUP - Sleaford Area Art Group will have their monthly indoor meeting at Leasingham Village Hall on Wednesday, July 4 from 7pm.
