First Responders dummies given to scout group

Thursday 11am - YOUNG scouts in Mablethorpe can learn more life-saving skills thanks to Sutton on Sea LIVES First Responders who donated these two resuscitation dummies to the group.

Co-ordinator Tony Powell said: "We've got a new dummy which gives a print out of how well the resuscitation was performed so we thought we didn't need the other two dummies any more. We wanted them to be out to good use and used by young people to learn life-saving skills so we decided to donate them to the kids so they can learn something that may come in handy in future."

Beaver Leader Alyson Selby said: "A very big thank you to Sutton on Sea First Responders for the dummies, they will come in great use for the youngsters during their first aid training."

Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service (LIVES) First Responders attend emergency calls received by the ambulance service and provide care until the ambulance arrives.

Sutton on Sea First Responders are now desperately in need of more people to join them. The group offer free training and a car.

Those interested must be over 18 years-old and live in the Sutton or Sandilands area.
