PAVEMENT REPAIRS - At the parish council meeting, county councillor Barry Young reported tree roots were damaging the pavement outside the Methodist Church. Repair work will start this week.

DOG WARDENS - Two volunteer dog wardens are being trained up and if successful, it is hoped more will come forward.

SWIMMING POOL - A fundraising dance by local residents raised over £1,000 towards repairs caused by vandalism, meaning a winter cover can be purchased. Parish council chairman Richard Higgs praised their efforts.

SPORTS CLUB - The playing field clubhouse is to be the venue for a children’s Zest and Zumba class starting after Christmas. There will be an open day on December 15. NKDC has also booked the room for weekly family Fit 4 Life sessions.
