Hospital remembrance service for babies

PARENTS and families are being invited to a special remembrance service for babies this weekend.

This annual service is held at Pilgrim Hospital Chapel on Sunday January 29 at 2pm.

This service is for all parents who have suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or whose baby has died around the time of birth.

There will be an opportunity to light a candle during the service and to have their baby’s name read out as well as to meet other parents afterwards.

The Rev Christine Bonneywell, Hospital Chaplain at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We hold this service every year and we know how much it means to the parents to have the life of their baby recognised however brief that life was. Whether the loss was in the past year or 10 years everyone is welcome to join us.”
