Icecream vans burgled and vandalised

Wednesday 10.30am - TWO ice cream vans were broken into and vandalised in Mablethorpe some time on Sunday night.

The Mr Softy ice cream vans were parked at farmland on Theddlethorpe Road when they were targeted.

The offenders broke into and vandalised the interior of one van, and stole an ice-cream machine worth 15,000 from the other. Police said the incident was reported to them at around 11.30am on Monday. The ice cream vans were getting ready to trade for the season but now are unusable.

The total cost of damage is estimated to be around 20,000.
