Lunches for seniors
FOLLOWING the successful launch of a lunch club in Ruskington, the NK Seniors group, which speaks up for older and more vulnerable people in the district, is hoping to set up other lunch clubs in the area.
There is an NK Seniors event at Billinghay Village Hall on Monday, starting at 11am. There will be coffee and biscuits, followed by 30-40 minutes of exercise led by Jacquie Brand.
There will then be a lunch of home-made soup and bread and a short quiz. Entry is free but numbers are limited. To book your place call 01529 421748.
On Tuesday, at Wellingore Memorial Hall, there will be a lunch of home-made soup and bread and chance for a chat, followed by tea/coffee and biscuits, at a cost of £2.
It is hoped lunch clubs supported by NK Seniors can soon be started in Billinghay and Wellingore.
