Mill plans submitted

SHOWCASE SATURDAY – The Showcase Saturday on the village green for businesses to highlight their services was hailed as a success. It was agreed it ought to be held annually, a formal decision will be made after discussion with traders. Diamond Jubilee celebrations were also a success and a video has been made. The remaining commemorative mugs have been gifted to the Village Trust.

HECKINGTON WINDMILL – The Friends of Heckington Windmill have submitted their application for planning permission for development of the surrounding buildings. The parish council supported the application.

SPORTS CLUB – There has been damage to drainpipes of Heckington Sport and Social Club. Youths suspected have been confronted and have apologised, promising to pay for repairs.

CENTRE TV – More research has been made into buying a large plasma television to be installed in the community centre in Heckington. A cinema club is being proposed if enough interest is generated and then a grant can be sought towards the equipment.
