MEMBERS are desperately needed for a long-standing animal support group and, for just £1 a year, you can help them with their work.

The Metheringham Animal Welfare Supporters Group - pictured above - will be holding their annual meeting on Monday at Martin Moor Golf Club, starting at 7.30pm. They are appealing to anyone who would be able to spare just a few hours of their time to help MAWS raise money for their chosen Lincolnshire charities.

Presentations will be made at Monday’s meeting to the charities for whom MAWS have been raising money over the last 12 months, these are Cats in Crisis in Lincoln, Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary near Alford, New York Ferret Rescue and Parrot Line, Friskney. Members pay £1 a year to cover insurance costs.

MAWS also welcomes donations of cash, raffle prizes and ink cartridges and old mobile phones for recycling.
