CELEBRATIONS to mark Sleaford and District Lioness Club’s 23rd certification anniversary were combined with their change over of officers.

President Cate Tipper has had a busy two years in office, holding a number of fund-raising activities such as an Indian cookery evening, a fashion show, bingo and quiz nights, plus a variety of stalls at different town events.

Money was donated to Sleaford Lives and Joel’s Quest amongst others.

During the year the Lionesses have also been involved with Blind Awareness Day, the New Life Church Larder and carol singing at Roxholme Hall Care Home.

The new president of Sleaford and District Lioness’ Club is Jackie Creedon, who has been a Lioness for 16 years and has held the post of treasurer for 11 years.

She hopes to hold a variety of activities during her term of office, including a ladies’ evening, a stall at the Sleaford Town Junior Football Club’s Fun Day, bingo and quiz evenings. Money raised will be for Arthritis Care.

Jackie also helps with the Laffletics Club and Joels’ Quest.

Ladies who would like to know more about the Lioness organisation can contact Pam Kyte on 01529 306427 or come to a meeting at The Solo Club, Market Place, Sleaford on the third Thursday of each month.
