Orchid group returns to village

RACE NIGHT - Leasingham Playing Field Development Committee are holding a Race Night in the village hall on Saturday, starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets, which include a hog roast, are available from Ian Rogers on 07875 011849, village shops, Manor Farm Shop and the Duke of Wellington pub. Take your own drinks. Proceeds will go towards the new community sports pavilion.

BINGO EVENING - The Playing Field Development Committee will also be holding a bingo evening in the village hall on Sunday at 6.30pm, with eyes down at 7pm. A cash prize flyer will operate. Again all proceeds will go to the sports pavilion project.

CAR BOOT - There will be a car boot sale at Leasingham Village Hall on Sunday, from 9am to 12 noon. To book a table call Jan and Alan Woods on 07526 02652. Proceeds will go to village hall funds.

ORCHID GROUP - Lincolnshire Orchid Group will be holding their annual autumn Orchid Show at Leasingham Village Hall on Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.

LADIES CLUB - Leasingham Ladies’ Club enjoyed an informative talk by Steve Cullington on the subject of ‘Lifelines in the Home’ at their last meeting. The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 9 in the village hall, from 7.45pm, when the guest is Rachel Shaw from the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.

OPEN MORNING - St Andrew’s School in Leasingham will be holding an open morning on Wednesday, October 10, from 9.30am to 11.30am. The school will also be fundraising for Genes for Jeans Day on Friday during school hours.

SERVICE - There is a Harvest Festival service at St Andrew’s Church on Sunday at 11am.
