Residents can help keep village neat and tidy

LADIES CLUB - All Saints Ladies Club will be given a talk from LIVES First Responders at their meeting on May 2 This will be followed by an Archdeaconary quiz on May 10.

The ladies club meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at the Winchelsea Centre at 7.30pm. For more information, call 01526 832087

BEST VILLAGE - Ruskington has entered the Lincolnshire Best Kept Village Competition for 2012.

The parish council is making every effort to keep the village looking clean, tidy and presentable but, as much of the judging is based on the condition of private properties, they are appealing to residents to give their full support and to help make the village look as attractive as possible.

The first round of judging will take place in June.

COFFEE MORNING - Ruskington Methodist Church will be holding a coffee morning on Saturday, May 5, starting at 10am to help raise funds for Christian Aid.

Sleaford Vintage Brass will also be performing at the church on May 11. For more information call Bob Abbott on 01526 833437.

BOWLS CLUB - Ruskington Bowls Club is up and running again for the new season and welcomes players of all abilities who are interested in meeting new people and getting some exercise.

The season runs until the end of August and is open to both men and women.
