Scarecrow festival

SCARECROW COMPETITION - The first Billinghay scarecrow competition will be held from Thursday, October 11 to Sunday, October 14, when villagers will display their scarecrow creations.

On the Sunday, tea and cakes will be on sale in the market place from 3pm, where the judges will award prizes for the best scarecrow and for second and third places. All proceeds will go to the Billinghay Swimming Pool.

DOG MESS - Billinghay Parish Council is urging residents with dogs to clean up after their pets, as there are reports that some dog owners are leaving their dog’s mess on the street and not picking it up.

NEWSLETTER DELIVERY - The Billinghay village newsletter is delivered by volunteers and a new delivery person is required for Billinghay Dales and parts of the A153.

If anyone would be interested in helping out, contact the parish office on 01526 861845.

MOBILE LIBRARY - The Lincolnshire County Council mobile library service will be visiting tomorrow (Thursday) and next Thursday (October 4) between 10am and 4.30pm. The mobile unit will be parked in High Street near Page’s Yard entrance.
