A SWINGING Sixties night has raised £200 for a disabled children’s sporting club.

The Sleaford and District Lions held the event to raise money for the Sleaford Laffletics Club, which offers disabled youngsters and their families the chance to play sports together.

More than 70 people attended the event at the New Life
Community Centre, with the popular local band the Wrinkly Rockers providing the music to entertain the guests, playing well-known songs from the Sixties.

Lions spokesman Phil Clark-Mocks said that the evening had been a great success. After expenses, the event raised £200 which will be presented to the Laffletics club next week.

The next Lions fundraiser will be a Race Night on October 13. More details available soon.
