Time to sign up for Lions’ charity races

SLEAFORD and District Lions are holding their second multi terrain 10K race and fun run on Sunday, May 13.

The event, which will start at the Sports Stadium, RAF College Cranwell at 10.30am, is in support of two locally linked charities.

Lion Sue La Roche said: “After our successful event last year, we could not let Olympic year pass without repeating the race.

“This year, we are asking people to turn out and run, not only in our 10K race but also in our Fun Run for Sleaford Lives and the Lincs District McMillan Cancer Support, two very worthwhile causes.”

All proceeds from the event will go to these charities.

Application forms can be obtained from Sleaford Coop Travel, Southgate, Sleaford; Sporting Lincs; RAFC Cranwell Swimming Pool; Running Imp, Lincoln; Sleaford Leisure Centre and Hodgson and Sons, Carre Street, Sleaford.

Entry for the 10k is £7 for affiliated runners and £9 for non-affiliated competitors, with entries taken on the day £2 extra. Entry for the Fun Run is £2.00.
