Following the local, and national, success of their Hounds for Heroes Charity Calendar in 2011, a team of vets from Quarrington have now released a book for children.

Joining forces with St Botolph’s primary school, the team at Quarrington Veterinary Surgery have released a charity novel entitled Nine Tales of Quarrington to celebrate their nine years in business and to raise money for Sleaford Cat Protection and the NSPCC.

Each story has been written by a member of the veterinary staff and the illustrations for the book were drawn by pupils from their local primary school.

Matthew Fry, Director and Head Veterinary Surgeon, said: “I have to thank St Botolph’s school staff and children for all their hard work. The illustrations are absolutely amazing and it’s been a very difficult selection process choosing the ones to use in the book.”

The book launch will be held at Quarrington Veterinary Surgery on Saturday between 1pm and 3pm and will be attended by representatives from Sleaford Cats Protection, the NSPCC, the authors and the illustrators.

The first copies of the book will be available to pre-order at St Botolph’s Christmas Fayre on Friday, and available to buy in Sleaford from Saturday.
