Village hall receives big cash boost from TalkTalk sponsor

A VILLAGE hall has received a financial boost from TalkTalk, the home phone, broadband and mobile provider.

TalkTalk will sponsor Heckington Village Hall for the next 12 months, with the funding to be used to purchase and install a new water heater for the hall.

Alongside this sponsorship deal, TalkTalk is investing £50,000 in broadband technology for Heckington.

Heckington Village Hall is a well used community centre that hosts various clubs and organisations seven days a week.

It can seat up to 300 people and has a range of classes and activities, including amateur dramatics, bowls, quilting, church events and exercise classes.

Village hall chairman Anne Sylvester said: “At Heckington Village Hall our team is providing a range of services and facilities to the local community.

“ We offer something for everyone. The financial support from TalkTalk is fantastic. Their contribution will be used to buy and install a small electric boiler, which will be handy for smaller groups as they won’t have to turn on the main boiler which is very expensive to run.”

Tristia Clarke, Commercial director at TalkTalk, said: “We are proud to be supporting the fantastic work being done at Heckington Village Hall.

“The hall is a hub for community activities and a real asset to the area. We wish the centre every success with their endeavours over the coming months.”
