Village groups need volunteers

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS - The MACLA group are heading up a working party for Metheringham Jubilee celebrations.

A meeting was held in the village hall where main organiser Sally Wilson arranged people into working groups. It is hoped to hold celebrations on June 2, 3 and 4.

A community lunch is being held on the village green in conjunction with the rest of the country. This will be held on June 3. Everyone is invited to bring their lunch and a little more beside to share.

The organisers are looking for people to make bunting etc. If you wish to get involved, contact Cathy on 07920 147392.

A vintage funfair will run on the Friday evening, Saturday and Monday during the main event. This will be at the playing field.

There will be stalls, floats, competitions and displays. Anyone wishing to donate a trailer, either lorry or tractor, for use as floats, is asked to call 07804 822554 or 01526 320695.

SCOUT GROUP - Metheringham Scout Group is in need of a treasurer and chairman.

HALL COMMITTEE – Metheringham Village Hall management committee is still looking for people to fill the vacancies of chairman, treasurer and secretary.

Despite advertising these posts, no one has come forward.
