THE proceeds from a successful vintage day were presented to grateful representatives of a local good cause.

The organisers of Billinghay Vintage Show held their second event on Sunday, August 12 and this year the show was an even bigger success than the last.

More than 500 people attended the event, held on the land behind the Coach and Horses pub, and overall it raised around £1,600 for charity.

All the proceeds were donated to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, as, committee member Adrian Sleaford pointed out, in rural Lincolnshire you never know if you will ever need it.

On Thursday, the committee assembled at the Coach and Horses pub to hand over the proceeds to representatives from the air ambulance.
