A SPONSORED walk raised money for cancer charities.

Jane and Charlie Harrison, from Heckington, recently want on a walk with their family and friends around the village of Pointon to raise money for Marie Curie nurses after Jane’s father John Aram was cared for by nurses from the charity.

The group of 12 walkers started out at the Ship Inn in Pointon and walked to Abbey Church and around by Sempringham Abbey, finishing back at the Ship Inn.

The group members were sponsored and overall the walk raised more than £550 for Marie Curie nurses.
