Winning design for new Trusthorpe village sign

Tuesday 12noon - A NEW village sign will soon be erected in Trusthorpe thanks to a grant of £495 from Mablethorpe Town Council.

Trusthorpe's Neighbourhood Management Residents' Forum, supported by East Lindsey District Council, bid for the money following a village sign design competition, which was won by Lyn Jaunzems.

Lyn's sign combined the wonderful coastline with the tranquillity of the village church and will now welcome people to the village for many years to come.

Town Clerk, Jen Cooper, said: "The Town Council is delighted to support this project, which will help Trusthorpe to retain its identity. We all look forward to seeing the new sign in situ in the not to distant future."

Colin Greenway, chair of the Residents' Forum, thanked all those who had taken part in the competition and said it was an important step forward in raising the profile of Trusthorpe.

The winning sign will be erected on the A52 on Sutton Road, Trusthorpe.
