Work will widen road for lorry traffic
ROAD improvements and resurfacing works are due to start on the A15 junction with Long Lane, Brauncewell on Sunday, March 25, The work is expected to take six days.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place during the day to enable motorists to pass through the works. The road will be closed overnight from 7pm until 5am.
Principal engineer Arthur Pearson said: “We are making the road wider at the junction to allow more space for lorries to drive out from Long Lane onto the A15. The broken kerbs will also be repaired.
“The work is taking place at night to minimise traffic disruption.”
Westbound traffic on the will be diverted via the A607 and B1202, while eastbound traffic will be diverted via the A153, B1188, and B1202
Motorists should allow extra time for their journeys. Advance warning signs will be erected before the work starts.
