Young soccer players rewarded
FOOTBALL CLUB AWARDS - Metheringham Football Club recently held their annual junior presentations in Metheringham Village Hall to a packed audience of parents, grandparents and friends.
The awards were presented by club member, Dave Inman, a PE teacher at Branston Academy.
Award winners were:
Under 8s: Harry Woolley - top scorer; Connor Edwards - players’ player; Harry Shaw - sportsman; Cole Chown - manager’s player.
Under 10s: Benjamin Whitehouse - top scorer; Ethan Thompson - player of season; Joe Howard players’ player of season; Emma Shaw - most improved player; Daniel Lindsey - manager’s award.
Under 11s - Oliver Smith - top scorer; Harry Wilson - manager’s player; Jacob Blanchard - players’ player; Luke Hockley - most improved player; Keiran Farrow - team player.
Under 12s: Ryan Bellamy - top scorer; Harvey Conyers - manager’s player; Josh Hill - players’ player; Alex Bond - most improved player; Josh Hill - most man of match awards.
Under 14s: Oliver Simpson - team player; Jordan Burns - manager’s player; Lewis Kelly - players’ player; Harry Wright - top scorer; Liam Asplen - supporters’ player.
Under 16s: Luke Simpson - top scorer; Joe Mitchell - manager’s player; Scott Rogers - players’ player; Andy Saffin - most improved player; Jack Parker - best supporting player.
