Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

In the case of Osbournby Primary School pupils back in 1988 it was definitely the eggs.

With Easter just around the corner, pupils had an egg-citing plan to hatch their own chicks, dreamt up by teacher Irene Patchett, who hired an incubator and some fertile eggs from Caythorpe Agricultural College.

She said the children would watch the chicks hatch out after three weeks and were absolutely loving it.
