THE latest version of the Sustainable Sleaford cotton bags will be handed out free at the next Sleaford Farmers' Market this Saturday.
The new bags will be handed out on Saturday, October 4 in Sleaford Market Place as part of the campaign to raise awareness about all sorts of sustainability issues, from cutting down on unnecessary plastic to supporting local producers.

It is hoped the winners, Carla Brownlow of Heckington and Bethan Jones of Sleaford, will be helping to hand out the bags from around 10.30am. Like the first batch of bags which was successfully launched in May, these are being given away free sponsored by partners in the Sustainable Sleaford campaign.

The bags feature designs by the winners of a competition run earlier this year in conjunction with Lincolnshire Co-operative which donated two mountain bikes as prizes.

Members of the group, which includes Sleaford Town Council, The Hub, SustainNK, Sleaford Business Improvement District, Churches Together in Sleaford, Lincolnshire Co-operative, Interflora and Sainsbury's will be on hand to answer any questions between 9am and 2pm.
