High School leads the
way in Olympic sports

PUPILS at Kesteven and Sleaford High School spent a day with local primary school children as part of their course work.
Year 11 students at the High School supervised the Top Link Festival at the school for their final assessment to complete their Level 1 Sports Leaders qualification.
It required the girls to work as a team to organise a fun sports-orientated day for Year 2 and 3 pupils from Ancaster, Kirkby La Thorpe, and Cranwell primary schools.
The High School students had undergone training in Loughborough to organise the Olympic themed day.
The primary school children at the festival thoroughly enjoyed themselves and began the day by reading out an ‘Olympic’ oath saying how they would play fairly. At the end of the day the young participants were awarded medals for their efforts.
Head of the High School’s PE department, Jo Tucker, said: “I think the Year 11 sports leaders did brilliantly.
“I’d like to thank The Running Imp of Lincoln for providing the medals and RAF Cranwell for donating £100 to cover transport costs.”
