WALK more in Lincolnshire and join the 'green gym' is the New Year message from the Lincolnshire Ramblers who have launched their 2010 walks programme featuring over 600 events.
Area Secretary, Stuart Parker, said: "Our 12 groups, from the Humber to the Wash, organise a variety of events throughout the year ranging from short ambles, day walks, midweek walks through to summer evening strolls. We also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Ramblers' Association this year.

"We continue to campaign for improvements in the rights of way network whilst promoting the enjoyment of Lincolnshire's variety of landscapes - a group also caters for those aged in their 20s and 30s.

"Our local Sleaford and District group in particular, offers a packed programme of Sunday and Summer Evening walks."

He says walking is increasingly seen as being an important contribution to improving our health prefect in such a lovely and accessible area using public footpaths.

A membership discount is available to those joining the Ramblers in January. For details call 01522 534655.
