SLEAFORD in Bloom is on the look out for new gardens to take part in its annual open garden event this year.
Organisers want to hear from more proud gardeners willing to join in with the Sleaford Open Gardens scheme, helping to raise money for charity's ongoing efforts to make the town look better and brighter.

Tickets will be on sale, before the event and on the day, which will allow people access to the listed gardens. Proceeds of the ticket sales go towards Sleaford in Bloom funds.

Visitors are welcomed to a whole range of gardens on Saturday July 5 and 6, where they have the opportunity to buy a cup of tea or soft drink, maybe have browse on a bric-a-brac stall, try their luck at a tombola or competitions, in aid of a chosen charity or of course Sleaford in Bloom.

The volunteers of Sleaford in Bloom work very hard to improve the public areas of the town and know many thousands of gardener-hours also go into looking after those private spaces which help to make Sleaford blooming great.

The gardens do not have to be Chelsea Flower-show prize winners, lived-in gardens are equally welcome. Children's paradises, prize vegetable patches, cottage gardens and patio-pocket-handkerchiefs can all take part as well.

This is every gardener's chance to show off and share their love of gardening. If you would like to know more call 01529 305966, 01529 304370 or 01529 303164.
