EDITOR-On Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, members of the Rotary Club of Sleaford held a street collection to raise
funds for Shelter Boxes for the Burma Cyclone Appeal.

I am pleased to say that the amount raised over the two days was £923.62, plus an anonymous donation of £150, and I would like to thank everyone who contributed. The expression of support from the people of Sleaford is greatly appreciated.

Readers may like to know that, despite the negative reports which we read in the national media, Rotary has a team working in Burma and that some 648 Shelter Boxes have already been dispatched from the UK and are being distributed in the disaster area.

At the time of writing a further 1000 boxes are about to be sent out.
ROBIN TUCKER
President
The Rotary Club of Sleaford
