ANIMATION enthusiasts have joined a brand new group launched at Kesteven and Sleaford High School.
anIM is a new animation group based in Sleaford, led by Lincoln artist, Gavin Street.
It is a chance for local people to learn about animation and have a go.
The group has been established by artsNK in partnership with Kesteven and Sleaford High School to get people involved in digital art. The first six sessions will teach a range of animation styles and techniques.
artsNK visual arts manager Nick Jones was delighted with the response, saying the initial session last week was full, with all 11 places taken and two people on the waiting list.
He said: “It is a great way to learn new animation and art techniques as well as getting to use new technology. If there is enough interest we will start another group.”
He thanked the High School for the use of their iMac computers.
The group will work on a community project, producing short films that explore movements involved in exercise and keeping fit that may be used as a guide for a health trail around Sleaford.
