BOGOF on compost bins

The Lincolnshire Waste Partnership has teamed up with getcomposting.com to provide a ‘BOGOF’ offer on home compost bins.

Composting your garden and kitchen waste will provide a free supply of nutritious soil conditioner to help your garden bloom next year, encourages better growth in flowers, fruit and vegetables when added to the soil and also helps to reduce carbon emissions, cutting down the amount of waste sent to landfill.

All you need for good quality compost is mixture of ingredients, ideally a 50/50 mix of green garden waste, vegetable peelings, old flowers, grass cuttings, and ‘browns’, garden prunings, coffee grounds, tissues and paper napkins, shredded cardboard and even vacuum cleaner dust.

To encourage households to home compost, Lincolnshire County Council, in partnership with getcomposting.com, are offering reduced price compost bins, from as little as £16 for a 220 litre compost bin, buy a second bin for only £8 or £19 for a 330 litre bin and buy a second bin for only £9.50.
