Carol concert challenge

RINGROSE Law, the major county law firm with a large branch on Sleaford Enterprise Park, has announced it is taking part in this year’s Prince’s Trust Million Makers Corporate Challenge.

Million Makers is a national competition, challenging teams of employees and university students to collectively raise £1million for the Princes Trust, and make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK.

The Million Makers Challenge involves Ringrose Law turning an initial investment of £1,500 of seed funding and turning it into a fundraising profit of £10,000, through establishing and running a mini enterprise.

In July, a team from Ringrose Law presented their business plan proposal to a Dragons Den style panel interview consisting of a board of local directors; the team successfully passed the panel and has since been busy putting their plans into place.

The Ringrose Law team will be working with 10 primary schools across Lincolnshire and Newark to produce a Christmas carol CD, each school will record one Christmas carol and then perform the carol at a charity carol concert being held at Lincoln Cathedral on Thursday November 22. The carol concert will also include a raffle, refreshments and of course Santa and his elves.

Robert Breckon, solicitor and Housing Department Head said: “Plans are well underway for our project and we will begin recording the CD in the next few days. We have already received fantastic support from the local business community and believe the carol concert will be a great event.”

Concert tickets are £5 adults, £2.50 children aged 12-18, under 12’s go free) to buy a ticket, donate a raffle prize, buy a CD or receive updates on the team’s progress contact Alex Gray at alex.gray@ringroselaw.co.uk
