Christmas show

After the success of their rural touring showing Brassed Up! The boys from Orichalcum - World of Brass have developed a special brass show for Christmas.

A Brassy Christmas blends the silly with the serious, jumbles up the well known with the obscure and mixes the musical genres with imagination and flair as the dup of highly talented musicians bring a show for all teh family to Ropsley Village Hall.

James Stretton is a former member of Grimethorpe Colliery and Black Dyke Bands, joined by ‘Professor of the Keys’ Iain Jackson.

Guaranteed to bring a little cheer to your Christmas stocking, the duo performs seasonal favourites on a dazzling menagerie of brass instruments, from tiny piccolo trumpet to huge brass tuba.

Their diverse repertoire includes a variety of styles, from jazz to classical and even gospel.

From serious to silly, from Handel’s Messiah to All I Want For Christmas is a Brass Trombone, Orichalcum provide an evening of quality music to delight, entertain and enthral.

The show starts at 7.30pm on Saturday November 24. For tickets contact 01476 585333 or 585729.
