Course to help teach dance

ArtsNK dance development team is offering an introductory session for people interested in teaching dance and developing creativity through dance.

Entitled, ‘On with the Dance’, the teacher training course is holding a training day on Friday December 7 at Harpers at Sleaford Fitness Club, East Road, Sleaford.

The course is designed to help build skills and confidence while helping participants understand dance.

The training day is also designed to make participants feel more comfortable in delivering dance and teaching it within schools as well as working creatively with children. From early years through to primary and secondary, the course aims to develop creativity while linking into the curriculum.

The aim of the day is not to turn attendees into budding choreographers or professional dancers, but to banish worries and build confidence. It will help raise awareness of the benefits of dance in education too.

The day will run from 9am to 3pm and costs £50 per person.
