Dambuster expert giving lecture

SLEAFORD and District Aviation Society will be hosting a lecture by 617 Squadron historian Jim Shortland.

The talk will be at the Legionnaires Club, Watergate, on August 21 at 7.30pm for 8pm start.

His talk will be “Lancaster Firsts”.

He is the founding vice-chairman of the aviation society too. He is the co-author of a new book, The Dambusters In Focus and has travelled around Europe and to Canada with his research over the years.
