METHERINGHAM Animal Welfare Supporters group, the Sleaford Standard’s chosen charity of the year, will be holding a musical fundraiser this weekend.

An Evening with Sharna, a popular local vocalist and entertainer, will be held on Friday night at Martin Moor Golf Club, Martin Road (off the B1189), starting at 8pm.

There will be a dance floor, a bar and raffle.

All monies raised will be divided equally between the MAWS four beneficiaries: Cats in Crisis from Lincoln, Parrot Zoo of Boston, Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary in Huttoft and Bunny Heaven of Coleby.

Tickets cost £5 and are available by calling MAWS co-ordinator Joyce Muncey on 01526 321436.
