Do your Christmas shopping to help Joel
To help keep his vital aftercare going following his life changing operation, the family of a Sleaford boy are holding a festive fundraiser.
Joel James, 11, who suffers from cerebral palsy, underwent the Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) in July to help him to live a more normal life, which his family and friends raised thousands of pounds to fund.
To pay for his expensive aftercare, his mum Karen has organised a Christmas shopping event on Friday (November 23) at the New Life Community centre on Mareham Lane, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, and will have a wide range of stalls with Christmas crafts and produce.
There will also be a raffle and tombola, and people are invited to come along and find unique Christmas gifts for their loved ones. All proceeds will go to Joel’s Quest.
