Drink up for beer fest

THE Rotary Club of Sleaford Kesteven is holding its eighth annual Sleaford Beer Festival this weekend.

The event will be held between Thursday April 19 and Sunday April 22.

It will again be held in St Deny’s Church Rooms, Market Place, Sleaford with free entry from 8pm to 11.15pm on Thursday, 12noon to 11.15pm on Friday, 10.30am to 11.15pm on Saturday and 11am to 7pm on Sunday and will raise funds for charitable causes, while having some tasty real ale beers.

The main charities this year will be Admiral Nurses, The Not Forgotten Association and LIVES.

All brews are subject to being available - and it is expected that they will run out over the course of the weekend. Come early to avoid disappointment.

There will be 23 beers plus cider and perry. Brewers represented at the festival will include 8 Sail Brewery of Heckington, Belvoir Brewery of Melton Mowbray, Empire of Huddersfield, Broadoak of Somerset will be bringing a cider and a perry, while Gwynty Y Ddraig of Pontypridd will also add a cider.

In addition there is Fulstow of Louth, Great Newsome of Hull, Hereford Brewery, Maypole Brewery of Nottinghamshire, Milestone of Cromwell near Newark, Ossett of West Yorkshire, Poachers of Lincoln, Riverside Brewery of Wainfleet, Sleaford Brewery, Swaton Brewery and Toad Brewery of Doncaster.
