Film show will take you back in time

AS part of the fund-raising campaign for Sleaford Playhouse's auditorium refurbishment scheme, Sleaford Little Theatre group is planning to turn the town's theatre into a cinema for one evening.

On October 23 the Lincolnshire Archive Film Crew will be showing a selection of local history films based in and around Sleaford and featuring local residents.

The film titles include The Belvoir Hunt, The 1953 Floods, St George's School, The Maltings Fire and We Chose Skegness.

Many well-known townsfolk from the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies can be spotted, and the show will start at The Playhouse Westgate at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the film night are 5 and are available from Keith Dolby Jewellers, Bristol Arcade, Sleaford (Tel: 01529 303945) or Stella Butler (01529 303286).

This comes before the group's next Christmas production of The Holly and The Ivy, which is currently in rehearsal.

The fund-raising campaign aims to refurbish the auditorium and fit more comfortable raked seating in the theatre downstairs.
