Folk music festival at The George

ANOTHER Day of Lincolnshire Folk music, dance and song will be held this weekend at The George Hotel in Leadenham.

The third annual event features guests that usually perform at the 600 Whiskies Unplugged folk events at the venue with more talent than ever on show.

Entry is free with entertainment from 11am until late on Sunday August 5. Performers on the bill across two stages include singer/songwriter and whisky taster Robin Laing, Brian Dawson, Steppin’ Stones, Barbara Owers, Kate Abbott, Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher, Liam Robinson, Norwegian Blues, John Pape and Heidi Theaker.

In all, 60 artistes will be performing 37 hours of music.

There will also be workshops on melodeon and clog dancing, tune sessions, sing rounds, stalls and events for children.

This will be preceded by a pre-festival ceilidh by the Higgledy Piggledy Band in Leadenham Village Hall on Saturday August 4.

The dance starts at 8pm until late and admission is £5 on the door. For tickets call 07753 600271.
