French farce as MAD cast plays 'Allo 'Allo

TICKETS for Metheringham Amateur Dramatics production of 'Allo 'Allo are selling well in what should be a great nighty for classic comedy.

The stage play of the long running TV series by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft is being performed at Metheringham Village Hall on June 17, 18, 19, 25 and 26 and features all the old favourite characters including Herr Flick, Officer Crabtree, Yvette and of course, the star Rene Artois - played by Terry Smith.

Set in wartime occupied France is being directed by Sally Wilson who has produced several of the group's pantomimes. It sees quite a strong cast and introduces one or two younger actors.

It is a play the group has wanted to do for some time but is quite a major undertaking.

A gala night on June 17 will be in aid of St Wilfrid's Church with all money going towards treating the dry rot. Tickets for that night are 10. For the other performances tickets are priced 7.50 (6.50 for concessions) available at the Info Lincs Centre in Metheringham (Tel: 01526 323100) and at D and K News.

All performances will begin at 7.30pm.
