Gala time in Ancaster

IT’S all systems go in Ancaster for the annual gala this Saturday.

The event is to be held at the village playing field and starts at 1.30pm.

It will be opened by Ancaster’s oldest celebrity, 106-year-old Nora Hardwick.

The gala promises plenty for all the family, including novelty dog show, a fly past, birds of prey, live music and children’s fun fair.

The programme will also feature a junior 5-a-side football competition and there will even be a fire engine on site to view.

Entry to the gala is free.
