Go for a country hedgerow forage

ANYONE driving or walking around the countryside cannot help but notice the abundance of edible items that decorate our hedgerows.

With this in mind, one of North Kesteven’s Countryside Rangers will be taking a guided walk around Bloxholm and Brauncewell to find out what can be gathered from our autumnal hedgerows.

There’s no better way to create a reminder of a lovely walk than to collect tasty treats to take home with you – you can enjoy the ‘fruits’ of your labour – quite literally.

The walk is free to join on Sunday October 7 and takes place on the district’s Stepping Out network.

To find out the starting point of the walk, call 01522 688868 or email: bmwhisby@leisureconnection.co.uk
