Half term kids’ activities every day at craft centre

THIS February half-term, the National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford has something happening every day for young people to enjoy. On Monday February 13, both children and adults alike can develop their printing skills and surprise a loved one with a beautifully hand crafted card.

The workshop is open to those aged six and above and all materials and professional tuition will be provided on the day.

Budding young designers aged between 11 and 16 years can try their hand at ceramics by creating vessels or vases to take home with them at the end of the session on Tuesday February 14.

Inspired by the centre’s main gallery exhibition, ‘Museum of Broken Relationships’, local artist, Phiona Richards, will be on hand to help teenagers transform old books, maps and small objects into something new and fabulous on Wednesday February 15.

Get creative and sculpt a portrait or self-portrait from clay on Thursday February 16 at a 3D Portraits workshop, suitable for children aged six to 10 years.

‘Listen, Make and Create’ will return to the centre on Friday February 17 for nought to five year olds to enjoy – once you have listened to a story, then comes the time for creating something crafty.

Make something wonderful and unique this half term. Workshops take place every afternoon with prices ranging from £5 to £8 per child.
